So when people first started using running boards, a lot of them use them to help kind of protect the bottom side of their truck and prevent the rockers from getting damaged and things like that. Well, as time went on, things kind of progressed a little bit and people started realizing, "Hey, I can not only use these to enhance the appearance of my truck, but also provide some functionality there as well to help you get in and out." Especially today's modern trucks are getting bigger and bigger and higher and higher off the ground, so a step like this really does make life a little bit easier. As you can see here, we have a nice durable black-powder coated finish that's going to do a great job, helping it hold up from rust and corrosion over time. After all it is on the bottom of the vehicle here, so it is going to see a lot of road debris. These running boards are custom designed to fit your truck and no matter which truck you have the set that's custom fit for it will go the entire length of your cab. To ensure that you get the correct step for your truck, you'll want to use our fit guide. In addition to the year, make and model, you'll also want to make sure you know the specifics such as the cab size on your truck, to ensure that you get the correct one.And you can see here compared to your tube steps, this is going to be a much more aggressive look and having recently installed it, I can tell you based on the weight and feel that these are much more heavy duty than your regular tube steps, you almost need an extra set of hands to help lift these up here. One person can't do it by themselves, but I was generally impressed with how strong and sturdy they feel.I also liked that they have a six and a half inch diameter because if you're a larger person like me and you've got a little bit bigger feet, those little three inch tube steps, they're a little bit cumbersome. more

Now these are going to be a great addition to your vehicle to give you an easier access point into your entry door on the driver or passenger side. We'll have our two steps so we can have one on either side to make that a lot easier. Especially for vehicles that are a little higher off the ground, these make getting in and out a lot simpler.This is going to be a custom fit for the 2007 through 2009 Dodge Sprinter as well as the 2007 to current Freightliner Sprinter, and that's going to be for the 2,500 and the 3,500 as well as for the 2010 to current Mercedes Benz Sprinter, again for the 2,500 and 3,500.So these are going to be made of a durable die cast aluminum alloy, so it's going to be completely rustproof. more

Today on our truck we have the polished stainless steel, however, there are other finishes available. So it's really just going to depend on your taste. Nerf bars we're originally designed to help protect the rockers on the underside of your truck, but things have come a long way since then, and now we're going to primarily use them to help us get in and out of the truck. Since today's trucks do sit so high and as an added bonus, we get that visual enhancement as well. more

Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com, and today you're gonna be taking a look at the line of Rampage Xtremeline running boards.All of our Xtremeline running boards are gonna be cap length. Since they fit a wide variety of vehicles, make sure to see etrailer's fit guide so you can get in and out of your vehicle easier, give it a little bit of protection, and look good while doing it.Also, our running boards are gonna come in two different color combinations. We're gonna have the black here, which is gonna be steel with a black powder coasted finish, and then we're also gonna have a polished stainless steel.Running boards are gonna serve a few different purposes. They're gonna help us get in and out of our vehicle easier, they're gonna help protect the side and rocker panels on the bottom, and overall, they're just gonna give our vehicle a nice, clean look.For some of us, SUVs, trucks, and Jeeps, they can be a little high to get your foot all the way in, so having those running boards is gonna make it a lot nicer to get inside or get out.Our boards are gonna be a full five inches wide, and we're gonna have this really large step pad that has some tread on it so we can make sure we have a secure footing. Now only are we gonna have one for the front, but we're also gonna have a pad for the passengers in the back as well.The tread here's gonna make sure we have that secure footing, even if it is in wet conditions where we might slip. With our boards sitting the way they do, real close to the body, it's gonna help protect that rocker panel a lot because it's not gonna be able to have anything come in between our board and the body.Since our running board sits so close to our body, it's gonna give it that really nice, sleek, streamlined look.Another thing I really like about it is that the end caps here as well as the tread pieces are paintable, so if you want, you can actually paint them to match your vehicle and have a really custom look.All of our running board kits are gonna come with a vehicle specific bracket so we can get everything bolted up. more

Today we're going to take a look at the Carr Custom Fit Side Steps. These are the hoop two style. It comes in polished aluminum, and these are going to be a seven inch step, and it does come as a pair. Now, these two steps are going to allow you to get into your truck a lot easier. They're going to mount either in the front or in the rear door position, if you have a crew cabin, or if it even has that backdoor capability.Again, this is going to be a custom fit, and the years that this is going to work for are going to be the 2015 through '18 Ford F-150, and that's going to work for the regular cab, super cab, and super crew cab. It also is going to work for the 2018 to '19 Ford F-250 and 350 Super Duty regular cab, super cab, and super duty crew cab. more

So, whether you're looking for an easier way to get in our out of your vehicle or just add a nice stylish look to them, our Westin e series nerf bars are going to do a great job.Our e series nerf bars are going to come in two colors. We're going to have black as well as the stainless steel. The black ones are going to be made out of steel and they're going to have a powder coat finish. The polished ones are going to be made out of stainless steel and, again, have that polished look to them.Now, both of them are going to be extremely rust and corrosion resistant.The curved ends on the nerf bars are going to blend in nicely with the body, opposed to some of those that just come and abruptly stop. So, they're going to give us a really nice, streamlined look. more

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be looking at the Carr LD Custom Fit Side Steps. These come in a black powder coated aluminum, and it's going to be a 14 inch step. This does come as a pair.These steps are going to be a really nice addition to your vehicle, to help you get in and out of the cab. They're going to have a rugged squared off design, and this tread is going to be a nice thick diamond style, that's going to give you a really good grip into your shoes, so you don't have to worry about slipping even in wet conditions with this.These are a wide deep step, so they're going to extend two inches further from your truck, than other similar steps.It also has a multi-mount installation, so it's going to be simple, but also precise to fit your vehicle. You're going to have these four brackets, two for each step, that attach to the step and then attach to your vehicle. There is some drilling required with this, so you will have to drill a small hole to attach the included bolts that come with this.There's also these wedge washers, that go in place to help the fit stay nice and snug. more

Carr Nerf Bars - Running Boards - Hoop Steps - CARR124501-1 Review- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the car custom fit super hoop sidestep. This is going to be a black powder coated aluminum and a 17 inch step. As you can see, this is going to be a really nice rugged looking step, has a nice wide surface, and this is going to give you a really good foothold to get into your vehicle, especially if it's a little taller off the ground, if you have a lift kit or anything, and it's going to give you a nice nonskid surface for you to get in and out of your vehicle. It also has the multi mount system, which ensures that you can have a precise fit to your vehicle. The two brackets on either end of the step can adjust, so if I undo the bolt here, you can see that this can adjust in and out to allow for precise mounting to the pinch weld on your vehicle.It's a really nice feature to make sure that you get this fit up precisely to your vehicle, so the step is angled at just the right angle for your truck. Now it is going to have that wide step so you can be sure to have a good purchase to get into your vehicle. more
